Amy is currently just 20 years old and has been playing guitar for 5 years. She took lessons her first year from Walnut Grove School of Music. She then took her second year from Esmunde, a graduate of Capilano College's elite Jazz Program. Amy graduated from Langley Fine Arts Secondary with a major in music, having also taken Jazz Band and Senior Choir. She also took one semester at Capilano College before deciding not to spend her youth focusing on just one genre of music. Since then she has progressed on to teaching, has performed at many local open mics, and has served as a consultant and songwriter for a
local latin/rock band. She considers her main strengths to be in
improvisation and composition, with focus on technique and rhythm. Amy plays both acoustic and electric guitars fluenty."
